I meet with clients weekly and biweekly at minimum. Each session lasts the duration of the appointment time you scheduled. This consistency maximizes the impact of the work and allows us to make legitimate progress toward your goals.
The total duration of your treatment is up to you! Some people come for a “tune up” type of experience. They only want/need a handful of sessions and feel equipped to move on. Others prefer to dive in and do deeper work and those individuals may choose to commit to longer periods of time.
Research suggests that addressing acute symptoms like general stress and anxiety typically requires a minimum of 15 to 20 sessions for significant improvement. For more complex, chronic issues like processing childhood trauma, the number of sessions can vary widely, ranging from 30 to 150. It's crucial for anyone considering therapy to be fully aware of this commitment, both emotionally and financially.

The first step is to contact me or reach out to (951) 200-9870 or email me at monica@monicahelvie.com. If I am unavailable, I will call you back within 1-2 business days.
The point of the free phone consultation is to briefly understand your goals for treatment and determine if I’m the right fit for you.
At this time you can ask me any questions you may have as well as explore your goals for treatment.
If we’re a fit, we will coordinate availability and get you scheduled. If I’m not the right fit for you, I will provide you with referrals to other providers or services that may be more effective for your situation.

I am an Out of Network provider with all insurances which means I do not bill any insurances. I would be happy to provide you with monthly paperwork (Superbill) which you can use to submit to your insurance for a possible partial or full reimbursement.
You are responsible for contacting your insurance to explore your plan benefits and submitting the claims to your insurance for reimbursement.
To determine if you have mental health coverage through your insurance carrier, the first thing you should do is call member services. Check your coverage carefully and make sure you understand their answers.
Please keep in mind, there are many reasons an insurance company may not reimburse for sessions that you have paid out of pocket. Reimbursement for services should be viewed as a bonus, not a financial necessity in order to participate in services with me.
Additionally, You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. You can ask for this before you schedule a service.
Under the law, health care provides need to give patients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical service, including psychotherapy services. Please notify Insight Clinical Counseling if you are uninsured or do not plan to use insurance, and you will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Mentaya- I have recently begun working with Mentaya (I’m not paid for this partnership, I just like helping my clients get $), a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. If you have out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to make sure you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim and have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year.
